So, what was the stunt that was "pulled the other night"?? I sense another story. Very good use of the prompt. Witty and sly. You have my vote.

Thank you...take your pick as to the "stunt"...doesn't have to be much to get this couple going...he's already forgotten...she still remembers...you want to know...sisters under the skin? :)

Fast, nippy and quippy. The eternal battle of the sexes ... so well done with fast paced dialogue. In such a short write you have conveyed emotions and feelings, managed excellent satire, developed the characters as much as they need be, completely kept my interest and gave me a great chuckle.
Well written ... poor guys .... I would feel empathy, but alas I'm a female terrorist. LOL An excellent entry for the contest and worthy of high placement. What a pity the contest was not full. Good luck. I have yet to read the other entries. Warm Regards - Lovinia xoxoxo

this is very well written, mystery writer, you did an excellent job writing his story about the way the man can't get it right no matter what he says. i enjoyed reading it. glad to know at least one man has learned, lol. good luck in the contest

Thank you but I like to think he held his own and has not yet "learned". At least, not completely...:)

This is good flash. It takes you on a circular journey of blame and counter blame that is the right of any long term married couple. The dialogue is the story, and because its been so skilfully written, you don't really get where it's going until the last line.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ........I love this no I really love this......a marriage steeped in circular reasoning..........but guys you are talking .....or balking at talking...but this is how it is. Men are square pegs and women are round....it shouldn't work but it does....the inexplicabilities make it interesting
Well done

Thanks, I humbly accept your accolades for square pegs everywhere since I catch the faint hint of our superiority in your incisive writing.
