Thank you for sharing your poem that implies a sense of moral duty that mothers take in carrying their babies while pregnant. Yes there are many painful denials she must take upon in order to bring the healthy baby into our world. And 'beyond belief' oft cited in this site is appropriate way to suggest that life is beyond our beliefs. Thank you for sharing it.

A nicely worded poem about the ever-present dangers of pregnancy. Dangers brought about by thoughtless parents-to-be...a sad tale I think.

Oh mothers and fathers , pray take heed 8 beats
Of the things that you would do. 6
As you engage your physical need, 9
Remember a thing or two. 7

Your love designs another life, 8
As forces within ensue. 7
Avoid an embryonic strife, 8
There's much you might put it through. 7

Seeds planted in a mother's womb 8
Are precious beyond belief. 7
Protected, a cherished child will bloom, 9
Well nurtured in a liquid sheaf. 8

Grows quickly influenced by mom, 8
Connected in coiled motif. 7
It's important to keep quite calm, 8
For the child can feel her grief, 7

Sensing joy, then pain, she's annoyed 8
Then relaxes in relief. 7
Each term is endured or enjoyed, 8
Determines a saint or thief. 7

Oh Mother watch what's in your mouth 8
Be it drugs, or smokes, or food. 7
'Whatever that baby does ingest 9
Impacts your infant's mood. 6

Do pay attention to mother's health, 9
Good results will be accrued. 7
A fine addition to the commonwealth 10
When that child is finally viewed. 7

Oh mothers and fathers, pray take heed
Of the things that you would do.
As you engage your physical need,
Remember a thing or two.

Had some fun with this. Hope you don't mind.

Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

Bravo,, this is just perfect and one great message,, you have listed all and I can not under stand why so many have no idea what pregnancies are that what we do reflects in the child,, yes you are so write these unborn babes feel our every motion,, they see they hear,,
Some just think yea I'm having a baby,, and that's all right they still pump the burgs into them selves down bottles of booze ,,, you might think me hard,, but all drug and alcohol should be sterilised until they are proven clean,,, and teenage girls from the time they become women should have a fertility prevention rod placed in their arms until they are wed,, in this day and age there is no need for any unwanted pregnancy and children born into a life of misery,,great write blessings sueellen

I love it, love it, love it. Now go back and do some accounting of your 11/7 meter. It gets five stars anyway and I might not have counted so closely if you hadn't said it was 11/7....:}
