Hi Fleedleflump,
I enjoyed reading this chapter, a pity I dropped in right at the end. Never mind, I did manage to pick up the drift along the way. I liked the ending as well, a little bit of fun I suspect many will either dismiss or disapprove. Tough.
One correction for you -
looking like a propr from The Mummy. - I think the word should be 'prop'

Thanks for the great comments, Patrick :-). Yeah, I'm sure some literary bods will dislike the ending, but it's very much in keeping with Mike Radshaw's tales and a more colloquial narrative approach. I'm really glad you liked it!

I enjoyed this very much my friend. I just love happy endings, or...almost happy endings, until the bad guys show up again...I do hope you may be writing a 'sequel' or another story line with Radshaw, I really enjoy his sarcastic voice and side-visions.
thank you for a wonderful read, I shall be looking forward to more stories

Thanks so much, Karen :-). I'm definitely going to be writing a full length Mike Radshaw novel, once I've given my brain some time to stock up on sarcastic comebacks, lol. I'm thrilled you enjoyed this one.

This is well written. This is the 8th chapter and as such it was still easy to follow what was going on. I didnt notice any SPAG issues.

Thank you, Isabella - I'm so glad it worked despite your not having read the previous chapters.

great chapter opening - love those hacked hunks of clotted blood ;-)
your similes are terrific - I personally have never met a sarcastic mosquito, but... LOL
love your humor, like the aside about the simile that is a geeky thought
great repartee in the dialogue - yes, I enjoyed! :-) Brooke

Thanks so much, Brooke :-). It feels great to have this Mike Radshaw tale completed. I'm going to publish a collection of his stories, once I've gone back over the old ones for a brief edit. All this ahead of a full length novel some time in the next year or so!
