What a wonderful story! Our bodies get older, but we are still very much alive on the inside. Why not enjoy everything we can instead of complaining about what doesn't work.
Just a few minor things:
- besides my eyesight (leave out 'of')
- friendliness (of?) my kitchen
- rest (of?) of my senses
Very well written! Blessings, LaVonne

I think it is great that even though you are having problems with your eyesight, you prefer to see the cup half full, not half empty. You are happy, no matter what, that's great.

A wonderful and positive lesson for all to learn. I am doctor. I recommend you take Beta Carotene and Ginko Bilboa for the eyes. That will help your eyes. I will also pray for you if ou would like me too.

Excellent.
A compassionate message to others that we are all multi-talented, and our senses compliment each other.
Don't they say that the wise woman hears the problem, closes her eyes and then answers the question; often not opening her eyes when she speaks; you have arrived.
We are all somewhat fearful of life, and then even more if we consider how we would cope if one of the senses was diminished or lost; but other functions become acute: find the rose by its bouquet and not a view of it; remember friends by the tone of the voice; music is heard but also seen in the mind.
Do not despair for you have found another path to the enjoyment of life; go to the woods with a friend, hear the stream, identify the bird sounds, smell the bouquet of natures gift of flowers; and listen for the faint chorus of How Great Thou Art, as you realize you are still special.
A powerful message to those who might too easily give up.

What beautiful and comforting words...Yes, slowly but surely I think I am in the acceptance stage. But there are also days of uprising when I want to reverse life, and life, and spring. What a beautiful heart you have. God bless you.

God is watching over you . . .I know because I asked Him to.

Your words are so empowering. As I was reading this piece I totally felt the character's frustrations, heartache, and resolve at the situation. It was moving to hear her realize that though her eyes were failing her, she still had everything else. I would fix some spelling and grammar mistakes. Great job and good luck!
