A very entertaining post! I've never tried to write a script, but perhaps I should try. I love how the flow of the work sets everything up. O.M.G. - the only time I've used that! Regards, Bill

Thx so much mizzkris - I'm delighted that you enjoy my stuff and particularly glad you liked this one, as I haven't written scripts for a while! :)Sharyn

I love how well it's written - so easy to envision.
old fashioned )type-o?)
how funny! You seem easy to relate with, that has the trappings of great work!
The backdrop is Sharyn's thoughts, right?
ha ha ha! No I'm not calling you a bag - too funny!
Well I have to admit I don't agree with the view of God, but I like the message. Thank you for sharing, this too was well written!

This may be an unconventional entry but it is fantastically effective. A letter comes to life when we perceive the characters so clearly and this monologue certainly gives us that opportunity. You excel in creating characters, real and rounded in just a few words and that is so true here. God comes over as having total knowledge but is not without sympathy or humour. His reflections on you show clearly your own fears and failings as well as your loves and desires.
Fantastic stage-craft demonstrated here, real attention to lighting detail, music and those wonderful spiralling petals.
Wonderful to read, great in performance.

A very challenging piece of creativity. I think this is one of your more complex pieces. I expected God to go on vacation and let you handle the cosmos. As Alan King once said, "We need a seventeen year old President; one with all the answers." Very good job.

This is a unique style all your own. The creativity you display in your works is very high. With this monologue, you have addressed many issues that confront people in mid-life. very well done

Great stage directions. Love the bit about Halleujah. I could see the letter vying for attention. For me, it was a bit offsetting to put in STSharyn's reactions to the monologue. I would have preferred a nonstop write of God's advice. The reactions could be indicated in lines. E.g.
Oh, that's what makes you depressed.

aah - good idea spits - I never know how much to over-write scripts for FS as it's hard to get them even READ!
-
You had over thirty reads. That's pretty damn good. More than I ever got. Guess that's why I'm writing a different genre now.

Sharyn, this poem is passionate about living and encourages the reader to do what truly lasts and that is, as you say, "Let's love like crazy, more than gold As soul and spirit make us whole". Good rhyme and balance throughout.

Hi Sharyn, excellent description of stage set up. Hahahaha! I am totally cracking up at the line about the profile picture.
This is absolutely hilarious - I just love your portrayal of God. And yet there is great depth to this script which is reflected at the ending with your poem.
I'd give you seven stars if it were allowed. However, it probably would be overused. Can you imagine people complaining about getting only a sixer? Absolutely would happen here, lol. Hugs, Lou
