Dogwoods stunt is well featured in this Haiku, the story is retold softly and briefly, I liked the indicative mood and mode of dogwoods celebration and convention in beginning and ending of flower season Spring. 4/054

You captured the essence of spring brilliantly. Made me feel (and wish) I was sat underneath one of these beautiful trees.

I enjoyed your poem. I liked the image of the dotted Swiss and the illustration. The poem had action with the dogwood skirts bouncing into spring and the trees popping with strung pearls. Well done!

Love your 5/7/5 on spring's glorious wardrobe.
Dotted Swiss delight-
Dogwood skirts bounce into spring.

You painted a delightful portrait here.

Thank you for the kind review and words on the submission for the short poem contest. I am grateful for your generosity.

This contest though does not ask for a haiku, defintely this could be categorized as one because of the nature theme and count on syllables. I think that adds to the poem that it is a definite form. The descriptions are good. Though I admit I needed the notes to understand what it meant.

I hope the notes were helpful. I suppose Dogwood Days is a bit girly, but I am glad you "got it." Thanks for taking the time to read and review. I am grateful for your kind words and encouragement.
