Cute little 5-7-5 animal poem.

I like Tweedie bird, and recall his particular dialect.

Bishop's twee is funny.

Nice job on this humorous topic

Nice play on words - Tweety Bird is smarter than the average bird when it comes to playing chess, especially if she knows all the variations in the Sicilian Defense. Most birds are read birdbrains when playing thinking games. Tweety is witty, and her heart's a'twitter as she flits and flutters through the combinations - she also loves to sandbag when she knows she's got her opponent beat - distracting them with the 'puddy tat' line to throw them off guard. She's a master of the understatement, as well. Witty and bright, Tweety's a delight. Would love to play a game of chess with her though she might easily ruffle my feathers.

Excellent contests entry as you incorporate that famous line -- 'I taut I taw a puddy tat' - playing games with and outwitting Sylvester. Cute picture you found for your poem.

Good luck in this contest. Well done ... ;o)

I remember tweety !!! I didn't know he could play chess. You have written a very humorous 5-7-5 poem and the syllable count is perfect. Good luck, Carolyn

Well Tweety sure amazes me. He's a chess player, too. Adorable photo to accompany your words. Is that to read, "I been bad" or "I been had?" Either way works.

Cute 5-7-5 true to writing prompt and syllable count. Adorable artwork choice. I love the first line! Poor tweety bird, checkmated without seeing it coming! Shame on dat puddy tat!

I wonder if this is an aussie (check mate) sorry about that. It is a Itvery good 5-7-5. It's clever -- 'loved twee' especially. good job.
