But think of how mundane life would become as a result?
To be honest, it's cruel to say that this made me laugh. And it's not because of your supposed lack of coordination - I haven't any to speak of either, that's why I can relate.
But you have a lovely sarcastic tone to your writing. It's witty, humorous, and quite a joy to read. And frankly, if you can't take a poke at yourself, who can you poke at?
A nice humorous little read - and don't worry! You're not alone.

It's okay, laugh away, that was my intent with this piece. After the fact it really did strike my funny bone too!
I am just glad I could entertain you a bit of satire.

I'm getting a great charge out of reading this. I've also fallen while walking a dog. Banged my head so hard I saw stars. I'm more careful. "avoid doing things to massively piss off your body." LOL!
You're a terrific humour writer. Nicely put together, well worded, good pace. Just a good piece of creative humour. I truly enjoyed it.

Thanks for the catch and I am certainly pleased that you enjoyed this piece.

Nice story. I well appreciate it being a dog person too and having gone through much of the same. Tightening the storyline and simplifying the writing would definitely help the piece. All in all a good read.

Thanks for the read.

I feel your pain. I had about the same feelings, however my dog was a 120 pound Retriever.
His accidents were probably worse than having to get up at 5 AM!
Keep walking that dog and write it, it is a great muse if anything!
Thanks for sharing

I can't imagine me with a dog weighing more than 12 or 13 pounds. That would be positively suicidal on my part.
Glad you enjoyed to the piece.

You relayed the perils and commitment of pet ownership in a very humorous manner. Your analogies to Barysnikov and Tinker Bell were perfect. I enjoyed the read and it makes me glad that I had cats in my life instead of dogs. Very well written!

You were very wise indeed to have had cats as pets. They tend to own you rather than you owning them, but the upside is they are self-sustaining and that is a true blessing.
Glad you enjoyed this crazy piece of satire.

Overall, I enjoyed reading about your mishap. Thank you for sharing your pain with us. Here are some other comments I had as I read:
You sure wouldn't want to become a speed bump. That would hurt more than the fall itself.
Wow that must have been some fall to have other people hear the crash.
That is funny that the neighboors would have a pool.
Sounds like the dog will be walking you instead of you walking the dog soon.
By the way pets are not fish. They are watches. You can't pet a fish you watch it. So now we need a new name for watches.

Well, I guess you are right that a fish is not a pet, but it is still something to own and, to a minimal extent, care for. That loosely translates to 'pet' for me.
Yes, the crash to earth was a bit loud.
Glad you enjoyed it overall

that was extremely entertaining and I am laughing out loud, sorry, I can imagine the neighbours with their poor on your dog walking adventures. Have to go still laughing, yes at your expense LOL

Thanks. I already revised it a bit and added a couple of new things. I never leave a piece alone, I always think of other things to add.
So glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the generous six rating.
