Your love for your country shines through in every line of this work. I do hope that your country survives the misery and poverty that is permeating society

Wonderful acrostic poem. Great message and picture to compliment your carefully chosen words. I totally agree, that is no other place I'd rather be. Good work.

A well written acrostic poem about a great patriotic subject. Your love for your country and nation clearly come through. Well done and thanks for sharing.

Wow, there is a lot of emotion and patriotism that comes through in this piece. The poem is an acrostic and also rhymes. That is harder to do than it looks. Acrostics can be a challenge but you nailed it so good for you. Good luck and keep up the patriotism.

Thank you so much!! Yes, being an Acrostic made it more difficult but reviews like yours have definitely made it worth it! Thank you for reading it and the good luck wish!!

Very nice patriotic piece of poetry with well timed rhymes strategically placed for the maximum effect. Your cadence was militaristic and marched us through each line.

Wow! What a sweet review! I'm so glad you liked the rhyming. Worked very hard on that. Kept reading it to myself till I was almost sick of it. Haha You've made me feel like it paid off and I thank you.

It never ceases to amaze me, the talent I've seen with the acrostics. Your poem makes sense, and using the phrase "fourth of July", making sense throughout your piece as a whole, great job. Love the accompanying photo you chose, and the background color chosen. "Treasuring every stripe, protecting every star" ... A true symbol of our freedom, well put.

A thought of goodwill and love for one dear country. This is a good Acrostic contest entry with a neat spelt out of Fourth of July. Good imagination.

a solid acrostic for Fourth Of July
excellent use of optional rhyming couplets
a good steady cadence when read aloud
I like the power in the freedom broke the chains line
interesting religious undertones in the final stanza for those Americans who are Christian, though I think this stanza makes the poem less accessible to a large number of Americans :-) Brooke

Amazing work you created here. I so enjoyed. What a reminder about where we live and how we ask Jesus to protect us. I send out blessings to those all involved in the recent Colorado shooting tragedy. May Jesus watch over the victims's family and heal the survivors. Needed this read this morning. Good job. Nice flow. Good luck in contest.
