Hi, Sasha. This is an interesting chapter. I can visualize Alfina working in the garden and James (Reid in Criminal Minds) persuading her to testify. Good writing always makes me see scenes in my mind's eye. Poor Angela, getting herself involved in such an intricate situation!

Angela is a tough lady and loves Alfina but, yes, she may have bitten off more than she can chew. Thanks for the great review.

This is a great chapter. Grandmother seems to have it all figured out in her own way. It will be interesting to see what she means about the power she had over Alexandru. I am going to miss these chapters but I will try to catch up later.

Yes, grandmother has it all figured out. Now James just has to figure out what she's up to. Give me your email and I'll send you the chapters as I post them. There won't be too many, we are very close to the end of the book.

Hey, that would be great. My email is pattypadgett@hotmail.com. Thanks.

Alfina is being very mysterious. She seems to think there will be no trial. Both James and Angela are puzzled by her actions. She seems to know something that they don't know. It will be interesting to find out what that is.

I can only guess that GM is going to persuade her son to plead guilty. Otherwise the outcome is going to be a big surprise for me, no doubt as it is for everyone. Could be an interesting conclusion. Giddy

A brilliant transitional chapter to this fascinating family history! Loved the broken English dialogue of the grandmother... ''He be Romani, just like me. He no change into gaje." GREAT!!
You managed well to leave this off in such a manner to effectively engage curiosity in the reader, making them feel compelled to read on. Well done! A virtual SIX STAR RATING!!
cheers

I would like to know myself. I have no power over my sons. It would be nice sometimes to have some. LOL. I enjoyed reading your post. You have a great story here.

Alfina may not be adjusting to gaje ways but does seems to have a mind of her own when it comes to her son.

It is a sociological fact that at the end of our lives we see what is confortable. In most cases, this is how we lived our earlier lives that is sought in the end. Very well written.

I can not wait for the next chapter. I have no idea what Grandmother could mean by her "power".
Another fascinating write.
Hope all is well in Mexico.
Hugs, d
