This shape poem is utterly amazing! Both the design and the poem are absolutely beautiful. You have accomplished a light breezy effect, giving the reader a feeling of almost floating along on air currents with the butterfly. I can't imagine how you ever managed to perfect this on this site---I have enough difficulty just with my word processor. I keep thinking that it must have taken hours! You should have a 7 just for the effort! But I also know that the challenge is the fun of it.

Thank you SO much for your truly complimentary review J.P! I am honored and delighted you liked it SO much and gave me a six star rating!!!! I know what you mean about our editor. "Evil Ed", definitely an be a PAIN to work with! I put everthing together in Microsoft word before I dare enter "Eddie's lair" here. Once I get there HE has a tendency to tangle my work and I have to straighten it out! I have to say it's worth it when I get lovely reviews like this. Thank you again! :o) Helvi

BRAVO Nancy! This is outstanding. Your poem as a tribute to the butterfly is really lovely on its own but the creativity involved to shape it so perfectly into a butterfly, also deserves kudos. One little nit for me: There are two rebel question marks within the piece that I think I would delete, as well as the exclamation point. I thought they distracted and weren't really necessary. Otherwise, a beautiful, beautiful artistic piece and poem.

I have never read a shape poem but yes it was very much like trying to watch a butterfly. Thank you for sharing, well done.

Hi my Friend, I was just about to send you an email to see if you were ok? I'm Glad to see you back! When I do one of these shape poems I do the shape and poem seperately, then fit the poem into the shape. It's a lot easier to do in microsoft word. When the poem and shape are fitted together I come here.THe editor here always causes trouble and it may take me two or three days to get it formatted the way I want. I love doing it though and I'm glad you enjoyed it! Hope to add some of these to our book if you don't mind! Bless you and thank you for the wonderful review my Friend! Hugs and Smles, Helvi

Wow! How clever and fragile and as perfect as we mortals are going to get.
This must have taken you for ever!
I love your choice of words, "flaunt - fragile - coaster - drifter -" and phrases like "lithe wisps" and "streams softly thru" all epitomize the delicacy and lightness of the butterfly. And to get everything into the pictorial shape is just wonderful.
I think I'm running out of things to praise, it's all so good, and I'm not usually this "gushing" about anything.
For me,this poem is a thing of beauty in itself.
