Hi ellen
It's always a little sad when a good book comes to an end - or has it? You left quite a few interesting characters still standing.
You finished on a high with more gory details. Actually, you seemed to have grown in confidence in the blood and action sequences. You might want to take another look at your earlier chapters to add a bit more spunk?
Sorry, bloody thing will not allow me to award a six star rating.

Thank you Ron for your virtual six and great comments about going forward. I want to kick my computer sometimes to see if it need a jump start when I can't give a six to you and several deserving others, either. LOL I have a lot of pepping up to do since these fight scenes are so popular. I had no idea that they'd be such a hit. But I haven't for very long to judge the public. Who'd know they like love(not sex as much as eroticism and tenderness) and battle scenes( not super gory but enough to kill the bad guys, a little suffering is good for the bad guys). I could continue and probably will at some point. I'll publish some how. Not sure how yet. If the first book does even a little bit well. Then the second one may do better as people follow the characters. It's all baby steps for me right now. I don't want to make a wrong move. So its off to editing and as you noted adding 'stuff' to perk it up.

"the hole where there had once been an ear, Blathen whispers in vermel, "All the better to hear me with"
Hmm, this Blathen is really quite intellectual for his age. :)
"Mother earth undulates with laughter"
Coincidental poetic justice? LOL!
Well, isn't Telek the lucky devil! LOL!
So, this is 'it' eh? Well, it was a blast while it lasted. But ... is Under Earth 'really' completely sealed off? Ah, but let me not stir that 'dark' muse of yours. LOL! We're still looking for room to better digest this original masterpiece. :))

And the mountains closes the door(at least that door) LOL
Digest this. Later, let me know if you're still hungry. I had a second ending which left little alternative for reader to think things forward. This has a conclusion for this journey, but there's always another trip. Right? I had to write forward in order to have an ending. So, have two sequels in my mind if it is worth doing. I'm faster now. It would be easier than when I first started this with only one tedious chapter a week.
Blathen is nearly grown, just like Beh and Shalu. He is vermel(more animal than man). Thank you for following this to the end.
MOVIE: Stuntman Mike is such a baby, he's been killing and poor guy was just grazed with a bullet, now the girls have caught up with him and ...

This read is not for the weak of stomach! "acknel's bulbous tongue slurps back his increasing drool, and his collectors circle, savoring Zee, the human morsel. One wraps around his neck. The other across his eyes." And that's mild! I can imagine your fingers flying over the keys as your mind attempts to capture the action. Am I wrong or does the end suggest a sequel??

Again always astute and curious, Shari. If some want more there is. In order to get this ending I had to go forward. I ended the book here, like I would a chapter. The reader can think it forward as well. Gima as the thread is ended. I know you know what the new thread is. Fairly, obvious. And there are several major players and new one introduced. This is the beginning. We haven't established the importance of the relic which wouldn't show up until near the end of a second book which would lead to a third. Yes, I'm that far ahead in my head and the cameras are rolling.
Speaking of cameras, I need to write some scripts. I'd like to script this (the portions that tell the story) it would be pretty fast adventure, mostly. None of the vermel sex stuff.
-
Think you'd have to do it as a screenplay. Sounds as if you're doing something similar to the Narnia Chronicles or Harry Potter series.

Something to think about. Now, it's time for bed. :)Tomorrow. e

A triumph in more ways than one, Ellen. I know you understand my meaning. This final piece is an amazing finale; and I loved the way you used the wind to vanquish the demons. Power has its own code, as you've described so brilliantly, irregardless of the names we call on. Bravo, my friend.
Hugs, Bev

Sunday seems to be a good day to cop out..so I might as well stay with the plan..we had a marvelous gospel sing at the park...mom got to go so I didn't even try to set up the kids tables as they were all busy in other areas...so we'll just go for the June 2nd event. God bless.

Thank you, Janie. I know you can't read because of the war/violence but should be glad to know that: Nature has vanquished the evil ones back to Under Earth and all will live happily and have lots of little ones.:) I also thanked those that have been faithful readers for their encouragement and help.:) Blessings to you and your dear mother, Janie. love, ellen

This was the final chapter, Tammy. I did have a few of my poet friends follow this all the way through. Sorry you missed it. Thank you for saying that you liked the index and might stop by for other chapters. Your review is really very encouraging since you hadn't read any of this story before. :) Smiles, ellen

This is not a genre I usually read and do not write - however I do appreciate the vividness of your writing but most of all have great admiration for anyone who can concoct a clear alternate reality in such minute detail as you have done here.

Another five, of course! :) There aren't many stories (fantasy or otherwise) written in present tense that I enjoy. I think this will have to be an exception. I'm glad I caught this last chapter. Thanks for satisfying this avid fantasy reader's imagination. :) Cheers!
