Wow!!!! my friend, reading this brought tears to my eyes making it difficult to see the words,as the emotions that
jumped off the page actually attached themselves to my very
being, causing me to feel every thing James expressed in the
first person....Such a real raw blunt feeling of blatant
injustice and absence of empathy expressed by James that the reporters exhibited instead of digging for the truth they where only concerned with selling papers and raising their ratings....So,so sad,but so elegantly put by James making them feel his families emotional state in a very personal way....I "am" so loving this, you are so talented my

Hi Valerie:)
This is a wonderful chapter.
James gave the speech of a lifetime as he chastised the reporters and gained control of the press conference. You create powerful vivid imagery.
The following paragraph seem very importanf. I do have a minor suggestion:
For the third time, I looked at the first reporter I spoke to. "Are you as strong as my family? Or, would your need to believe your husband was still the man you [loved be so strong,==> loved. Or would you be so strong it would force you to turn a blind eye by convincing yourself you were just overreacting?] Tell me, could you turn your father or husband in to the police, knowing he would probably spend the rest of his life in prison or worse, get the death penalty?" {Change suggested to correct an obvious error in the construction of the indicated question.}
I can easily visualize this scene in a movie. Now I am ready for more six star writing, although FanSory is hoarding them for noew,
Love and Irish hus,

you got a lot said in this one. James comes across more as himself this time and the reader maintains interest throughout. His harangue to the reporters made it easy to empathize with him and his family.

God, I wish I wasn't out of #6 stars. While I've given you one or two previously (don't remember how many), this piece deserves two of them. I regret that Fan Story will allow me to only send a fiver your way. Talk about rooting, you should have heard the silent hoorays my brain was spitting out. I've been accosted by a herd of these reporter donkeys before, so I know how they can twist one's words to suit their angle in the story. Great, great job!

I've been accosted by them too and that's primarily where I got my motivation for this chapter. I appreciate the virtual 6 stars. I am thrilled you enjoyed this one.

Another great chapter.
I love the fact that James went straight at the reporters and held their feet to the fire.
Love the questions he fires off to them.

Hi Smurphy
Good old James - giving the press what for. He's one smart kid.
I got very cross with the press when my kid sister died. She actually died of heart failure caused by a childhood illness. But the papers found it necessary to point out she had a mental illness problem. No need for that at all.

When my sister died, the press followed my mother into a grocery store and actually asked her how she felt about her child dying. As you can probably tell, I am not a real fan of reporters.

This chapter shows us how clever, wise, calm, organized, 'old' James is. I am ashamed I was a reporter once, though I did not write about these things. As editor I urged to write what I called 'human interest' stories, maybe it is this attitude that made the reporters in this case ask silly question to James! This is thought provoking and interesting.

I know there are good reporters that are only interested in reporting stories accurately. However, there are many that actually try to create drama. I am pleased you enjoyed this chapter.

Hi Smurph,
I al most stood up and cheered for James when he gave that mental whipping to the press. He is one smart 18 year old and I think the reporters will leave the family alone now...I hope. The questions he posed to the press were appropriate and needed to be said. This is another superior chapter! ****** Blessings, chey
