Hi Smurphy
You have cracked the problem of explaining the results of your research in an entertaining fashion. I know just how hard that can be!
Your POV is also interesting. We often hear about the devastating effects on the victim's family - but you are showing the killer's family in agony.

This is s superb chapter,
Sasha... you've certainly
done your research. A most
enjoyable read.
and get some rest.(")
I'm been working hard to keep
busy and thought I'd do a little reviewing to
take my mind of our sad loss.

Thank you very much. I am unaware of your loss. I do hope you and your family are okay.

I sympathize with Charlie ... "Why" is a logical question.
One of the things I love about this story is that it shows the devastation in the lives of the killer's family.
Yours is the first book that I have ever read with this as a theme.

I have always empathized with the families of serial killers and I have read a few by members but none about the impact on the entire family.

I don't think you'll be committed. But you do seem to have accumulated some incredible knowledge during your research on the subject. I don't think it's too much and it makes it interesting. Charlie's frustration is palpable. Giddy

Thanks so much. I have been researching this for two years and my brain is getting very tired of it.

At least I can relax a little, Mary Ellen is still alive..but I'm sure there's much more hair raising episodes to get through. God bless.

James, you're the smartest person I know. Can you explain to me how someone like Dad could do something so horrible?"/This is an excellent device to get at the bottom of the why reason----"I'll tell you what I do know/After this, tell Charlie the source of your knowledge, but don't make that sound academic, only in a passing or passive manner.----"I don't know. There's a lot of stuff rattling around in my head, and I have no idea where most of it comes from."/This is not good enough to explain his knowledge. Be specific, but not overt. Do it on the sly or with an off-hand remark.----I tried not to make this too technical, but not sure if I succeeded. If I read one more artical/Use article instead of artical. You didn 't sound overly technical, but it could use some dumbing down even though James is a brain. If anything, it's too smooth. Most of us, even us smart ones, don't talk that way, especially about an emotional subject like you are addressing. Still, you did a great job. Just take the lecture out of your lecture.

There must be more information in this chapter as I don't remember reading some of this. But, this is one hell of a great story and absolutely should be published. Well done. xoxo Kiwi

We are breaking into new territory. I don't remember James talking with Charlie or Mary Ellen. Your research is more prevalent in this post. Very good job.

I expanded his talk with Charlie and in the previous version Mary Ellen was the missing babysitter. All new from now on.

Looking forward to it, Sasha. Charlie

Hi, Sasha, thanks for the information on serial killers. Or should I thank James? You are so knowledgeable, and having James as a mouthpiece -- and Charlie as the eager ears -- makes your information just right, not too technical.

I've known a few sociopaths in my day and fortunately have a pretty good understanding of their symptoms...no idea about a cure but hopefully that will be something in the future. Glad you liked this one.
-
Yes, soicopaths are more common than people think. There is no cure, yet..
you did a great job with this.
