I'm glad you have allowed James to show his frailty. We weep with him and understand his devastation at what has come to light. We also understand his uncertainty about how much this will affect his life and the way he views the world. He will not be spared the burden of having to live with this knowledge.
He needs to wail and cry and let out his stress and distress. xxxmouse

Yes, it was time for James to let go and release the pain and confusion he has been feeling. I am so pleased you enjoyed this oh so short chapter.

Sasha, this chapter just may be one of the best you've written because, honestly, I felt James' despair, and I wanted to cry with him. What his father did is unimaginable for me.

Hi Smurphy
To be quite frank I didn't like James much in the early chapters of your book.
He's gradually grown on me, and I find the emotions displayed in this chapter stunning.

He's a hard kid to figure out. Too smart, no social skills, and lives in his own world. Glad you are starting to like him.

I feel great sympathy for James.

He has such courage to face the reality of his family life.

He pushes on even though no one around him wants to.

The truths he reveals are always grim, but deep down inside, they confirm things he has always suspected.

James is a true hero.

Yes, I think of him as a hero too. Sadly, he doesn't. Glad you like this one.

of James, your words made
me feel his pain... the sign
of a good author.

appeared to everyone who knew him(,) as perfectly normal

Even a genius can't intellectualize that and James raw emotions come through like a normal human being would. I can't speak for anyone else here but I am not tired of your story not by a longshot, I come on looking for more..see you next chapter SG

Wow. And what doesn't kill us makes us stronger, or, it will eventually kill us. I can't wait to see how you develop this. I wish I had some six'ers left. Write On. -Dale

You really want to give James a big cuddle, even knowing hat wouldn't help him.
The way they have kept this from his sister and brother seems good though what if they found out for themselve in time, think they wouldn't be able to handle it even half as much as James.

Gosh, you've done well to cover the emotional strain on James the way you have. Not only that, but you have given us a clear image as well of his distress and sadness. Excellent!

Thank you so very much. I knew this was gong to be a short chapter but also that I needed to convey the emotional strain James was experiencing. All without overloading the reader. I sincerely appreciate your awesome 6 stars.
