Hello,
All I can say right now is what a gift you have with words, I don't know how long it took to write, but bravo! Nice to have had a chance for such a great read.

Thank you.
I seem to remember the hardest part was doing the research and making sure I got it more or less in order.

Like a movie on fast forward! LOL! Lots of good rhyming. Some modern touches thrown into the mix. "Goliath would have done okay, Slam dunking in the NBA." Got me grinning in several spots. Fun stuff, steve!

Thank you.
I like your idea of the fast forward Bible!

kiwisteveh, this is a humorous yet factual account (for the most part LOL) of Creation and the major players in the Bible. It is done with a modern reader in mind. Good and balanced a-a-b-b and so forth rhyme. :0 GracieAnn

Thanks, Gracie Ann.
The challenge of this appealed to me. New testament not so much - I never did get round to tackling that one.

The OT is so very rich in history, culture, poetry, studies in human character, and wisdom. It is foundational to understanding the NT. I love both! :0 GracieAnn

Ive only read the first stanza and can tell I already like it!
It shows great imagination. Quite an accomplishment taking on the Old testament.
1.Pharoah-Pharaoh
Got a few chuckles along the way.It was delightfully done!

It is not offensive ... in fact it's the same stories I've learned from the Bible. the rhymes are attractive and I think many people will enjoy this concise poem about the old Testament just I enjoyed reading it.

You have a powerful talent that could be put to good use. I suspect kids and teens would read this and think the Bible very cool. We are told in the Great Commission to go into all the world and tell the Gospel. I think you just did that via the internet and a unique writing gift. Keep up the good work.

Thank you, Jean. I would be telling a lie if I said I had any interest or belief in spreading God's word. However, I am happy for my poem to be used as an informative 'text' on the Bible, and I believe it has already been used in a Sunday School class.

Very nicely put together in summary form, condensed like a Clifs Notes (are those still around)?
It read nicely without any hic-up interuptions.
Sequel at some point?

Another Testament to go.

Thank you for your kind review - I learnt a lot and then had to leave most of it out!!

Reads like the "Cliff Notes" of Genesis.
You managed to compress the gist of the story into a few words.
You could probably set this to music and make it a rap song.LOL
I especially liked:
When his mission was not followed,
Jonah by a whale was swallowed
(Who tells his mates unto this day,
"Should see the one that got away!")

Thank you - two in a row making the Cliff's Notes comparison...
I only put in the 'One that got away' bit because I needed to fill out that quatrain.
