Hi Sasha, you have really conveyed the tense emotions in this chapter. The cell phones are a real problem and you really handled that well. Great dialogue as always, this is super. The end had a sort of uphbeat tone, which won't last for this poor family, I'm sure. But? Hmmm. Good ending because it doesn't give anything away. ") Luv, Susan

Beside the horror of finding out
their own father is a murderer,
they have to face up to how this
fact has and will change their lives.
eggs; but it
eggs, but it
An excellent chapter, Sasha - so well presented,
and most enjoyable.

Sasha, this chapter is par excellence. You've shown us what life is like for the family of a murderer, and it's so painful to see they've actually lost their lives. Even though they had absoltely nothing to do with the killings, there is always going to be those stupid people who will blame them.

Sadly, people always feel the need to blame someone, even if the blame is not deserved.

Hi Smurphy
Another great read. Vivid descriptions and wonderful dialogue.
I love your subtle touches - like James taking a shower.
A real feel of what it must be like to have the media on your back.
Nice to see a lighter touch at the end.
This book goes from strength to strength.

As aleays your addition is
very description and the
dialogues are always spot on.
You pay close attention to
details that make this such
a smooth easy read. I do like
the way this ended, a little
ray of sunshine in amongsth
the clouds. no nits or spags.

'A Taste of What's to Come' chapter is so neatly done that I could not spot a single thought or sentence that needed changes or improvement. You've done a fine job to further the story of the family's woe.
I'll be happy to read the next chapter soon, Sasha.

Excellent description of James waking up and going for a shower. Trying to avoid the media attention is a reality that no one would want to have to go through. I like your explanation why everyone would logically expect the family to know the man of the house. This moved along well. The humor between the brothers in time of trouble at the end is typical and well done.

Another great chapter! It was nice to end on a somewhat brighter note in this one...I would say it humanized the boys in an authentic manner that endeared them to you all the more. Looking forward to the next chapter.

I like the humor at the end, that despite what is going on that as a family they are still trying to keep it together, to keep each other sane. It's only going to get worse, and that is a worry (but a great delivery for the story). Another great chapter that keeps us together. I hope we find out if it was really Billy who called, it could have been a leak in the police or the lawyer's office too. Heck, maybe even the hotel staff. It can be almost anyone.
Can't wait to read more!

Often reporters pay a high price to get info from the police. I am pleased you find this interesting.
