Hullo Carol ....
I can't help smiling as I visualise you eating for two and teaching too, as you say. There is just one small change to suggest ...
* You have - my swollen belly .... animals have bellies and people have stomachs or tummies, as they are usually called.
Thank you for sharing this with us ... and for the smile!
Love from .... Nanette Mary.

Very cute and imaginative.I had a professor that actually read aloud children's books to her unborn child. You've got the formula for success in short story writing. Nice writing!

Yay Carol! Another wonderful flash fiction and this time on "animal crackers"--one of the prompts. You must hate "blind" like me???? However, you definitely ARE teaching others how to write prose in this style...I love it! Sue

"After all, I was eating for two and teaching too!" I would have stopped at eating for two. Both statements are obvious, but eating for two we expect to hear. Maybe teaching could be worked in earlier or not at all. This is only my suggestion and it is your piece after all. I love the way you set this up and it flowed very well, friend. P.S. Ignore all previous remarks!!! LOL Cheers, Don

Thank you for sharing this delightful to read story, Carol. What a wonderful idea of "feeding" Jack. I did so common things to my two baby sons before they were born, made them listen to beautiful songs. I admire your great imagination and intelligence.

Very nice flash fiction. Do you know what I enjoyed most about this post? The fact that you had time to slip into some fiction and relax a little. When I saw that you had posted something, I feared that another 'bad luck' event had wedged itself into writing fodder. I am happy to see that you appear to be back to your old self. I know all your trials are probably not completely behind you but you seem to have at last been able to see some peace. Hang in there, girlfriend.

You used very few words but created a nice story. I wonder how many mother talk to their unborn babies. I hear that is the first step in bonding. I used to love those animal cracker but I haven't had one in year. Thanks for bringing back the memories.

Beth,
Those were special moments in my life..Music, late nights, and telling my unborn child about my hopes and dreams...that animal crackers weren't bad either. Smiles, Carol

This is a very well written story about an expectant mother talking with her child still in the womb. It has very good mamory and descriptive scheme.

Charlie,
I was in search of a bit of calm and reassuring moment last night and the thought of a peaceful moment with mother and child seemed to fit the bill. Thank you...Carol

Never too early to start talking to the baby and realize he or she is a person.
I liked -- sweet taste teased my taste buds
---- eating for two and teaching too
Well done, Buck
