Children are such little
dears. Wonderfully written,
hearfelt and so entertaining.
Your story is spot on in both
narratives and dialogues. The
reader moves easily through
your words with anxious anticipation
to see the writer's resolution to
one of life's problems. Bravo, most
enjoyable. no nits or spags. Lora

It's always "your child" when the child is acting up a little, and "my sweet baby" when the child is being good.
Sleeping in a morgue sounds right up your alley... after a long days work :) kidding
Well done, Buck

Great story, Carol! You controlled the emotion and maintained enough humor to keep it on track. Well written story and one any parent can relate to. Deb

For Trade. One camper for a moratoirum. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making a humorous read. Good job.

Lol! Don't you just love the way a child's mind works? Love the comment from your son.
Hehehehe I had to chuckle at this. What an enjoyable tale told with humour and wit.
This is morbid, but Tarza, our dog, who we had to have put down due to bladder cancer had been with us since John and I were first married, so in a way she was like our first child. When Sammy came along, she used to lie on the couch and put her face on our laps whilst we fed Sammy and would watch over her. We had her cremated and she sits in an urn on top of one of our cabinets. Well, she was part of the family! When we first told Sammy, she was five at the time Tarza left us, she didn't understand how Tarza could fit in it and told people we had Tarza's eyelashes in there. (Her word for ashes)
So, if that was the only place you could put her until she buried it, what can you do? I presume you never mentioned it's prior use to the new buyers!
Lol

You presumed right! We have a cemetery at my parent's country home that started when I was a child...every animal you can imagine is buried there...Corrie kept her love of animals and will graduate as a Vet Tech this summer. Thanks for the wonderful review...And take care of Tarza...Thanks for sharing. Smiles, Carol

Oh, the kids are great aren't they. I loved this. A cat in the freezer and the camper as a morgue. Leave it to the children. What a cute little story. Well done. Hey what did you do about that nasty message?

Well I'm glad he at least apologized. It sounds like he's been run over by women and took it out on you. Glad to see it didn't dampen your spirits too much. Hugs, Joy

Cute story, Carol. You have the simple gift of storytelling, except it's not simple and it definitely is a gift. Nice, sweet story, which looks into and uncovers our vulnerabilities.
Well done. Thanks for sharing. How's the new camper? (I know it's fiction, but you never know.)
Regards, anabelle

A well told family tale.
This is exactly the type of story that our family loves to tell.
Got a kick out of the fact that they put the camper up for sale.
By the end of the story, I was right there with you. I would have sold it too.

Oh, what a great ending - I can see you did not think that solution out before you agreed on the camper as morgue. LOL
The things we won't do for our children - I have several pet burial stories of my own. LOL Kids are good for many things - inspiring good writing certainly is one of them. Brooke :-)
