How nice, matador and folklore what a wonderful rhyme and fun meaning. I really enjoyed reading your witty Epitaph. Good luck with the contest.

As an animal lover, It's good to see the underdog win for a change. Wonderful, fun poem. I enjoyed it set as an epitath.

second line could be quite shortened.
Who met a bull once more,
would be fine. You don't need to explain the red cape.
THis could use some refining.

What a funny creative epitaph. Visions of a matador and bull lead the mind to all kinds of blood and gore. Then unfortunately the demise of the matador. In the last line, it seems the rhythm might flow better without the word 'local.' Just a thought. ann

Ha ha I nice witty epitaph for a fledgeling matador. The ending was really fitting for an idiot that would take on a bull with a re flannel cloth. This is very funny and good luck with the contest.

Have you ever seen the artistry of a matador? It is breaktaking. Your entry is very well thought out and I applaud your tribute to these brave people.
