Wow, Carol! The words of your lune poem and that absorbing artwork were made for each other. What a moving poem. Best wishes in the contest.

Appreciate the kind words. I had never heard of a lune but when I saw the contest this just popped out as being perfect for it. Pure luck I guess. Thanks for the review. Carol

Hey Carol.
Nice use of the rules, and short amount of syllables, along with the picture to convey a potent concept... especially for those who are unjustly accused.

Our criminal system needs an overhaul...how many people sit on deathrow and have been proven innocent by DNA tests. WE are too quick to proscecute in order to make a name for ourselves and then when we do get the right guy...we put them on the streets again. Crazy!

Hi Carol,
Wow! This is frightening, sad and powerful. I can't imagine how one who is innocent can handle a situation like this when others are sooo sure the individual is guilty.
In a small poem like this your words really ring out because tour focused on one powerful thought. I think you did an excellent job expressing the innocent victim's cry for help.
Good Luck in The Contest

Greatly appreciate your kind review. I can't imagine another horror than being in prison and no one will believe you when you say you are innocent. Thanks for the review.

You have chosen a very compelling picture for your verse.
Excellent use of the form.
I imagine many have asked this same question:
Unjustly accused
He cries out
Will anyone hear?
Sometimes the only one who hears is the Lord and that is, in the end, always enough.

Hi Carol, it appears
that you've followed
all the rules for this
type of poetry. That
being said, your poem
does in deed say so
very much with so few
words. Excellent. Lora

Thanks...I read about these people who have been in prison 15, 20, 25 years for something they didn't do because someone said they did. DNA proves them innocent. How do you ever give these people back the life they lost? Thanks for the review. Smiles, Carol

Hi there big sis, my goodness ,where are you today. This is one deep source of emotion, made even bolder by the pic you have used Carol. It filled my heart with innocent pain and I am feeling the need to give you a big hug. the last line Will anyone hear? now this just fills me with doubt. calling out, speaking in vein. all those feelings.Energy lost, with no results forthcoming. I hope this isn't coming from where I think it is. talk soon luv little sis.

I'm not sure where the emotions came from. A few friends on this site are thinking about quitting because others are mean and unfair. I don't like how some of the things are done either. Guess I just wonder why things happen and if anyone is actually ever listening unless it happens to them.
Why do bad things always happen to the good people while the bad people seem to sail through life free. Like Joan for instance...Her son is about to get married, she's got friends like you who really care...why did she have to get so sick...Why not the guy down the street who doesn't give a shit about anyone? Crazy thinking I guess...
And then we have 13 people on death row who have spent years there...guess what a group of college students studying law proved them innocent through DNA. Where was our criminal system...if kids could do it...why didn't they
Mixed up world for sure.
LOve ya...Big Sis?

Hi creative friend. I don't even know about this contest, not to mention the form lune poetry. While you ... have written a strong entry to the contest. Your poem, the picture, the title and the tag above it have created something 'whole'...

People are quick to judge. It is the old adage, "Where there is smoke, there is fire." I wonder how many innocent people are wrongly convicted and suffer. Very well written Good luck in your contest.

Thirteen people were on death row and found innocent with DNA...cases college students pursued first. What's that tell you about our system? Carol
