Nice. Great artwork. Talk about total desolation and depression. You hit the nail squarely on the head with this one. Good luck, joan marie

A reviewer accidentally knocked some old cobwebs loose today and these words came tumbling out of my mouth. It was a long time ago and I have been blessed many times over since then. Thank you for reading. Carol

A very dark poem. It sticks nicely to the structure of the cinquain. I hope you fair well in the contest. It has a nice flow and I particularly like the imagery, even if it is dark. Good job and again, good luck in the Cinquain contest.

Oh, what a sad poem, in cinquain form. Short sentences, strong effect. Cloaked by sorrow; empty heart ... what a life she might have endured! Good luck, Carol.

Hello Begin Again
What a sad pathos poem
Well I guess if someone is so over wrought with sorrow DEATH is one way to rid their misery.

Unfortunately for some but for others when that moment comes they find the strength within them to survive. Thanks for the review.

Hi Carol...this cinqauin poem is so very dark. But then Poe is one of my favorite poets so the words sing to me.
Superb!
Good luck in the contest....blessings...chey

Someone knocked an old memory off the shelf this morning and these worlds tumbled out. It was long ago and I have since been received a bounty of blessing. Thanks for the review. Carol

Wow.
The picture you chose for this one sets it up perfectly.
I have seen too many kids like this in my day.
These lines are especially evocative:An empty heart cries out,
Comforted only by the arms
Of Death.

Excellent read, the topic sad but true. It's such a shame when people feel at the end of their rope. That's why we need to try and speak with compassion.

Some reach the dead end and find a way to come back, others don't. It is truely sad. Thanks for the review. Carol

Hi Carol, read this Cinquian,
I didn't notice anything sticking out to change. It has a darker feel to it, enhanced by the picture, which for my mood... I actually in my head added at the end... of death to all the negativity trying to take root in her mood.
I thought it was cool. --Turtle

Oh man, talk about a poem that brings one down. I should have read this first today instead of next. Well done anyway, in spite of the downer.
