I like your poem. Perhaps we should all take that vacation to find and get to know ourselves. "The" say the worst thing that can be said about a woman is that she doesn't know how truly special she is.
You are very kind and gentle towards your "Dear Self." A beautiful write.

P.S. I knew a lovely Kay Pupa, in Riverside. She was active and lived to be over 100 years old.

What a novel write... I like this
Pupa - such a clever piece.
I think sometimes we need to
give ourselves a good talking to,
and perhaps then we will get the
answer we are looking for.
Well penned, my friend.
Margaret.

Yeah, that is what I will do, talk to myself, ask questions, I have always done that in writing, all my life, and it is the only way I reached answers and solutions.
Thanks, Margaret, I look so much forward to be surrounded by the 'green', which will remind me of you, the Nature Lover.

Hello PUPA
Perfect rhyme and I totally understand what you are saying
( I have been there)
Shove away your negative feeling of yourself and as you said-
Never again will you feel ignored or shoddy,
you see, without you I'm simply nobody.
I will pamper you, no more will you cry,
we will stay together forever, me, you and I.
Have a nice time away.

Ah, my dear Pup. A long time ago, I told you what really matters is you. I don't mean, one should not be compassionate and caring, but not at the sacrifice of oneself. I'm sure you will find "her" and keep "her" protected.
love,
Rob

Another excellent letter, Pupa. One can feel the electricity of this poem, because it is real. The sense of adventure and anticipation practically bounce off the screen. I hope you have a grand vacation. Are you going to meet that certain someone? Rose.

Thanks so much, Rose. No, I am really on my own this time, not meeting him yet, hopefully the next trip. I want my family to get used to Pupa having a life and going on trips.

PUPA,
Your poem, "Dear Self" is very uniquely written. Your thoughts seem to echo some of my own.
"today I have good news,
there will be no more confusion or abuse."
This is a great ending "Never again will you feel ignored or shoddy,
"you see, without you I'm simply nobody.
I will pamper you, no more will you cry,
we will stay together forever, me, you and I."
Thank you for sharing your letter to self. It is an outstanding piece.

Hi pupa
She may have been spotted in a shopping mall in cairo...
Hah! made you look! lol.
As i understand it, this is about one who lost their way in other lives and trying to find themselves again. Interesting theme, i like the artwork too - fits very well.

Dear Friend:
You have made a great step along a new and wonderful path. My only suggestion would be not writing to self, but writing to the One who gave you life. Psalm 139:14 "I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made." This is what King David did. I suggest reading the whole psalm.
It is time to stop listening to the past, to self, to others; petition God and ask Him to show you the way.
Much love,
Jean

You are right, Jean, and I do that already, always asking Him for His will to come true, not mine. As to this 'self', I do need some time alone with myself, to calm down and know how to think properly again.
I appreciate your advice and respect it very much, and I will read that psalm.

Dear Pupa
I find this to be a very inspirational letter. I think we all should take time to write ourselves a letter. We get lost in ourselves far to often and need a wake-up call. Thank you for making think about my life and interests.
Sincerely
Donna

Congrates on the vacation, I can't this year so I have used the time to recoup. Not really, but it was nice writing poetry without the lose of sleep.
There is a way to be generous and still find time for one's self. When that mix is right, it provides you with a deeper enjoyment. Well written and shares many thoughts.

Yes, to find the balance is important, not give until you hurt yourself, and not selfish either.
Thanks dear Friend.

I love this, I don't seem to be happy until I gave the best that I could. Then I take a little break! Maybe, I am dumb, but I am not satisfied any other way.
