Dear Carol,

This wonderful little poem, expressed effectively your feeling. I love your alliterations: /toy trucks, tiny shoes/. God bless you, Carol. This piece of poignant poetry really touched my heart. Your friend, tati (June 26, 2009)

A wonderful poem that packs a punch to the reader's heart in such few words. It is a powerful poem, very well written that tears at this mother's heart! God Bless You and may He wipe your tears and calm your fears! ~:O) J

toy trucks, tiny shoes

all our dreams now tucked away

lonely teardrops fall

-- This is truly heartbreaking... the loss and love of a small child never to be forgotten.
Very well done.

Very good little poem, Begin Again. Your evoke a poignancy that is pervasive and convey it effectively here in appropriate haiku format.

Well done albeit heart breaking piece of writing.

Carol, this is a most poignant work in tribute to a lost dear one. It is strange, people say, when such and such happens, you will have closure. HAH... When we lose a loved child there is NEVER closure, it is with us every day of our lives. Time simply makes it a bit easier to bear. I lost my eldest daughter 20 years ago and it is just like yesterday.
Much love
Hugs and blessings
Maureen

    Maureen....

Tow kindred hearts! There is no greater pain than losing a child. Though many have asked how I could go on living...I didn't think I realy was given a choice.

Last Labor Day when I got the call about my grandson, I kept saying over and over it couldn't happen again. Well, it did.

That's life. Whether we like it or not. My heart goes out to you and your loss also.

    Thanks again Your friend, Carol

This is a most heart wrenching senryu. You wrote it very creatively with beautiful words that portray the grief that's so difficult to express. But this poem expresses it very well. It really touched my heart. Great work

I usually cannot comment on very short works. Not that I don't like it, but what can I say? But your poem here is different. Three lines can evoke in me a vivid imagination of tiny shoes and toys, memory of days gone by, THumbs up!

A poignant poem written in
thoughts of yesteryear, all
the dreams, the hopes, the
joys and the sorrows, now
tucked away and all that remains
are the tears of remembrance.
Well done

Oh gosh, this is so sad, and the picture fits just right with the words. I am sure it is a pain that never goes away, to lose a child. You did an outstanding job getting the pain across to the reader and the fact that this child is resting somewhere else.

beautiful poem and beautiful artwork. Has sad undertones. It really made me want to cry. Did your son lose a child? I just want to understand if I read it right. Sarabran
