I just love your descriptions, Smurphgirl... especially these two lines...

"absurdly huge, store-bought chest." and

"His tiny, cold, steel-bllue eyes barely held up his thick Neanderthal brows" Extra l in blue by the way.

Thak you for your kind and helpful review. My description of these misfits was easy....I can still see them today a vividly as the day we met. Again, thanks for your kind words.

She made Tammy Faye Baker look like a scrubbed Barbie doll - that is one great way to portray someone with an excess of makeup on! Her whole description is quite vivid.
You don't disappoint me in being honest - lots of people have come upon hard times and contemplated different ways to get themselves out of debt - the only shameful thing in your life is the way you were treated. Brooke

Good, but needs a little more detail about your home, and your children. Of course, I have not read the prior chapters, but I feel that a lot of the first part of this chapter is more about your depression than your drive to succeed. How can you wear a Dior suit when you have no money. The last part, where you meet Sue and Jack is very decriptive and interesting. More on details, less on self pity. I know you have suffered, but show the writing work that you can survive and succeed.

I completely understand your comments and concerns, but all of this has been addressed in great detail in previous chapters. As part of a book, this chapter does not s tand a lone but is a culmination of a life of abuse and subsequent mental illness. Without reading the previous chapters you have put yourself at a disadvantage. Those who have followed the story from the beginning do hot need to be told why I am broke, where I got the money to buy an expensive suit, or why my children are confused and disappointed in me. I appreciate your comments and value your opinion, but at this time I feel no need to expand on this chapter.
