How lucky you have and older sister, but it sounds as though the two of you have reached beyond luck to have a great relationship. I think this poem is a wonderful way to memorialize that special sharing explicitly. Well done. The Renoir is a lovely adornment to your poem.

i liked the piece but felt from reading some of your other stuff that you don't profit from using those tired old metaphors. in fact your better than that!!! and i would tell you to write from your heart and stop allowing those old cliche type words to get in your way. go girl

I had to have this Hallmark moment to write a little something for my sister. She loves it. Your compliments for my other works mean so much. Thank you for your very honest review. So much appreciated....Sue :-))

A beautiful picture to go along
with such quiet emotional words
of a love, a bond between sisters
that so tenderly remained even after
childhood had passed.
An artistic tribute to a big
sister set in rhyme in gentle
colors of love.

A poem that warms the heart, I was just talking to my little sister for about an hour on Saturday morning, we have always been best friends she is actually considering coming out here for a year seeing if she likes it and possibly staying[that I would love] wonderful flow and a real pleasure to read Sue.

What a lovely poem! I enjoyed it. I hope you've sent it to your sister. It flows well, with good rhymes. I particularly like the last two lines. You've made me wish I had a sister. :)

This is a lovely poem on your sister Deb; it's a truly blessing to have a sister, and more so one you can get along and have fun with. My best to you two.

Sue, your poem is a beautiful tribute to your sister. I am very close with both my sister and my stepsister and I don't know what I would do without them. We share everything and cry together when bad things happen. The artwork is perfect and your poem had great rhythm.

How lucky, for sure Sue. I am a big sis and feel so blessed to have my little sis as a best friend. This poem says it so well. I loved the sentiments you expressed. "No depends" - ever....Beautiful presentation and flow and rhyme. It is so wonderful when siblings can be close through a lifetime. My sister and I became even closer when our mother died. Really enjoyed this poem. Joyce

I love this poem. It comes from the heart. I have a sister too. And I could really relate to this. You say you wonder if she knows you love her so. I think after reading this, she will. Great job with words and language.

What I like about this is
the beautiful idea of a life
lasting gift in the words of
your poem. I should do this for
my brothers and sisters.
Thank you.
