A sonnet to your dog. How sweet is that? Isn't Bobbie the least bit upset? Have you read this one aloud to Jackie yet? Look at that face! excellent

Jackie is such a beuatiful dog and so is this poem. Based upon your poem, I can tell you have such a great relationship with her.
I wrote a similar poem about a dog. I titled it "Dog's Best Friend."
The last line is so adorable!

Sixteezkid, I love this poem. I have two Scottish Terriers who live for love, food, and creating havoc--in random order. It just depends on the time of day, However, I love them dearly and that's all that matters. Good luck in the contest.

This is a lovely poem which conveys effectively your love for your pet (and hers for you) without using the word love. Technically the poem is flawless. I could see nothing needing revision.
Terrific job.

Hey, saw the pump. So cool of you! Thanks very much. Yeah, I shoulda known. Of course you would like this!! HA! I've had Jackie and Bobbie highly trained, but all my fault that I "relaxed" the rules. They know the loopholes now. HA!!! But, they are good girls. Thanks for your great review and the promotion!! Best to you, dreamer...Sue

You are a big softy aren't you my friend! I do like dogs so I'll let you off, but NOT on the sofa! I have promised the girls to get them one this year but I can see problems ahead because my darling wife is a dogs in a kennel outside kinda girl and I'm a dog in the house protecting the family kinda man. It is going to an interesting one that's for sure! Nice poem you big SOFTY! ha ha.

My Jackie would kill for me. She is so protective of us. So, I'm like you....an "inside protecting the house kinda gal". HA! My Jackie....I always give her big hugs and say to her, "Pure dingo love". LOL Thanks for your review. What kinda dog do you want to get?

I had one of those! When I lived in Brisbane. She was stolen from us!! What a great personality! Great choice, Hitch.

How sweet... and such a cute doggie! Nicely written and without the "love" words. Good job... and good luck.

And, I know from your poem that Jackie's love is unconditional. You've really painted a clear picture of "your best friend". I was quite taken by the image you created in the last line with your use of "curl"--so visual and comforting.

SO unconditional!! She follows me from room to room. Ha! She's my shadow. Laying at my feet now on the sofa. Thanks so much for your review, Joan. Hope all is well with you. :-)) Sue

What a delightful poem about your furry best friend. It flowed nicely and your dog's love for you shined through. She is really cute and I don't care what anyone says, Dog's are man's best friend.

I'll rub your belly, let's curl up together - awwwwww that is so damned adorable :-) What a great love poem to Jackie without using any of the cliched love words - the scenes you set are so tender and "wet." LOL Gotta love those morning wake up kisses! ;-) Brooke

Jackie dies and goes to heaven when I rub her belly! HA! It's so strange...even if I look in her eyes, she won't look away. All she wants is my love. I've never seen anything like it before. HA!! Thanks so much for your lovely comments, Brooke and your review. Always, Sue
