Quite a tribute to a beautiful city. In spite of "No set metre", it still has a lovely beat and is "Tres magnifique".
Au Revoir
That's exhausted my French.

Hi sixteez.
You took me back to a time I was in Paris. This is a wonderful poem which gives an excellent expression to that city. I much enjoyed this read. Thanks. Rebecca

This is a beautiful poem about a beautiful city. I, too, love Paris. It is in a world unto its own. I'd told my husband we had to go see the Louvre before I died. I hope to have many years left and perhaps will visit again. You did leave out the Musee D'orsay where all the impressionist paintings are. I do so hope you saw it as well. For one who has visited Paris and the scenes and sites you so visually describe, this poem is a true pleasure. mslyla

I LOVE the Musee D'orsay! Am crazy about the impressionists. Great Rodin bronzes there, also. Yes, if one gets the chance, the Louvre is a must-see. I would LOVE to go to the Hermitage in St Petersburg one day. I do love art. Thank you for sharing your trip to Paris! And for your great review. Much appreciated...Sue

Such a delightful way to leave the house! I've never been to Paris but you have painted a lovely picture (and the photo is exceptionally fitting). Most enjoyable.

Never been cuz, but it sounds awesome. The history and the art alone is worth the trip, let alone the vinyards and food!
Fantastic descriptions in vivid word use make this piece come alive.
Great stuff!

Speaking of one of my favorite subjects (history), I was thinking of doing another poetry trip and go to Rome! Wow! Yes, the history and art alone in Paris is worth the trip. I also love French architecture. Thanks very much, Cuz, for the review. :-)) Suz

You would make a good tour guide. Your description of that beautiful city is well done! I've never been there but reading this, makes me want to go. "The boats are lit up floating gently down the River Seine!" Great job! V.A.

I've never been to Paris but wish to someday go there. You're poem makes me want to go even more. Lovely descriptions and imagery, well composed, go flow and rhyme. Thanks too for the notes they were really informative.

It is nice to travel in your mind. I often do that about places I've been. As yet that hasn't been overseas, but I hope to get there one day. I liked the serenity of your poem, and the picture and the colour you chose to display it in suits the peaceful feel to this.
