This is a very provocative and festive Senryu for the last night of the year. I like the fun words, such as bright, cheer, and two thousand and nime. Best of luck in the contest.

I like it. The form is correct, syllable count is right, and of course the content is great. Good disconnect (satori) too. Write on.

Great title, picture, color and 5-7-5 format.

Very clever theme and well written. I also enjoyed the alliteration in the first line.

This made me smile, especially since I grew up in the big apple.

Clever and cute.
Well presented with apt photo, colorful and joyful.

2009 - good satori, though I am not sure why!

Reading hopefulness in between your short lines.This would have made a good entry for the new year senryu contest.

    My bad boy days are distant memories... ALMOST! ha
    unfortunately I was that bad boy I'm afraid! It took a woman from the oppisite side of the world to TAME my hungry heart, and I'm forever grateful to her for that.

    You read my mind, though....thought about the word billion when I started to write (we are definitely cuz's). But then decided to make it about just the people at the square.

Great job! With such minimal use of syllables you have carried across your idea very clearly! Ah, where have all the years gone? This is something I guess we can't stop no matter how hard we try. Happy holidays!
