You are so right in this poem. When we are in despair we really need a friend that we can trust. We always have a friend in Jesus. He is the only one we can trust with all our heart.

Hi Debi, Love the combination of words and image. We all need someone to lift our spirit at times and this poem expresses that well. Your poem is like a beautiful warm day where the sun is shining. Days like that always make on feel peaceful. The rhyme is like a breeze flowing off your tongue. Very nicely done and a joy to read.

I really enjoyed your poem. It's a boost just reading it, for we all have issues that drag us down... most of us anyway. I've been dealing with middle back pain since last fall, comes and goes. I'm sure it's related to gas because it lessens when I burp (if I can burp). Many times we are our own worst enemies. We injure ourselves over time. And the result sneaks up on us.
Your meter is perfect. You point us to Christ for healing, and friends for encouragement. We definitely need courage as we enter our senior years especially. Old age is not for sissies.
I also liked the artwork you chose, with flowers to help us cope, and lead us in the right direction.
Nicely penned! I needed this today.
