It is the little things in life that we often take for granted that can help us endure the unpleasant challenges we have to face. Roses have thorns, but we shouldn't let that stop us from smelling the lovely perfume.

This is an Absolutely beautifully written poem. It has a nice flow and rhyme. Love this verse.
I dream of lovely sights and sounds
That flow throughout my head
The visions that so make me sing
And take me far from dread
Serenity with soothing balm
Erases fears and tears
It gives the heart a chance to beat
In joyous flowing cheer
I dream of lovely sights and sounds

To cherish all the gifts I have

Yes there are always millions of of sights and sounds near us..the glow in the grass, the silver of the breeze in the trees the magic of of the strolling sunshine...I can go on and on. It take just a little attention and love to see the andshare them.

I particularly like the reminder of acknowledging the small things that grace our lives, far outweighing the louder, more obvious things:
