I enjoyed your poetic tale of the brown bear waking up grumpy from his hibernation and satisfying his hunger with a trip to the stream for a lunch of salmon.

Steady ABAB rhyming gets the job done well.

Beautiful and cool animals but they scare me to death because i love to wander in the deep woods and they tend to like it there where I live in Maine. I came across from fresh droppings from a big bear one time when I was out blackberry picking and got out of there fast.

I love this Cecelia its just lovely. You know I also love nature poems and this Bear poem is excellent. The image and presentation are perfect. I wish I had a six for this its one of my favorites!!! Well done friend.

That's a great poem, a wonderful description of the brown bear fishing. I can just see him getting his lunch! It is well written, rhymes well and flows nicely. I'm sorry that I have no sixers left! Evi

This is a really good poem about a day in the life of a brown bear. Your rhyme is well done, and the movements of the animal are accurate. That is a good picture of a rather skinny spring-time bear.

I've been busy with work lately. It has slowed down my pace. I'm taking a little time now to catch up with what I have missed here on FS. I like your Brown Bear poem - a day in the life of a brown bear fresh off hibernation. I've never had the pleasure of seeing a bear in person. We don't have bears where I live. We have a lot of pesky monkeys. I have a piece about them that I will probably share soon. Keep sharing and writing well.

    Oh you lucky dog. The Caribbean is beautiful. I went to St. Thomas when I was in the Navy. They had little shuttle boats from Puerto Rico through our recreation department. It was great.

great poem about bears in their natural habitat. I loved the narrative of a bear going about his day, hungry and in a bad mood, then needing a nap after breakfast great picture
