I don't know if I could ever erase those sights from my mind. Yet, I know reading it is nowhere the impact as actually experiencing it right before your eyes. My heart breaks knowing you carry these details, so accurately expressed, around with you always.

The story ran so true to me. When my oldest grandson graduated from high school, his church went to the Philippines and they saw much the same conditions as you saw in Thailand. I enjoyed your story, although it kind of makes me sick to my stomach to realize that people live like that.

Thank you for the wonderful review. I was sick to my stomach when I seen it first hand. These kids were anywhere from 6 to 12.

Cecilia, your writings take me back a few years. We pulled into Patiha (Patio Beach) Thailand, and it was all about weird sex back then. I would find a grass roofed beach shack and just drink their bitter beer. Hongkong was pretty bad too back in the seventies. Homeless dying in the streets, kind of like LA or San Francisco now.

I was an Aviation Storekeeper, it was so long ago we are obsolete in today's Navy.

Glad you got away from that environment and to think, people wishes to go there as tourist. No offense, but those people have a smell about them I find hard to accept.

I don't think you needed to be a snob to be sickened by what you saw. Already, the little boy being taken off for sex is enough to make me feel saddened and disgusted.
