Pain of loving you

This is an excellent poem sharing how the pain of loving you stilted your growth and left so many tears on your pillow that the bruises never showed. You describe beautifully the pain of loving someone who left you for another and at the end of this piece you ask the poignant question will he treat you better than he treated me? And then the powerful answer, I doubt it. You carry the reader through the sad separation of a couple powerfully and poignantly so that everyone can relate.

You surely must be a passionate gal since the three pieces that come when opening your profile seemingly are in that genre.
I, too, aimed to be a journalist, but the basketball scholarships offered did not have a journalism major. Still, I, wrote for the local town sports section, the college newspaper, and was Sports Information Director for two years. Then changed directions to make a living selling. It worked out great.

There is nothing so sad as a one-sided love. I could never understand why a man would hurt the woman who loved him. It would take a rotten, weak soul to do that. Your poem was full of passion and tears.

Oh yes, along with the doubts come the thoughts that, did they ever care? Did they have affectionate and caring feelings, and, having turned their backs, do they have regrets? Beautifully written, blessings Roy

Now, there is a face that's always a pleasure to see pop up. And with words of poetry always guaranteed to put its readers to thinking. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, Missy, this is a powerful poem and so full of everything that went wrong. Now he's gone and started another life, but she doubts anything will change.
I tend to agree with her.
It's so good to seeing you back. Ulla xxx

-This is a great interpretation of this picture, and your free verse is full of the emotions of the hurt of the betrayal and the hope he is not doing it to someone else. Well done, and well expressed.
