I wish Miranda hadn't said anything to Waylon, I don't see how any good can come from letting him know, but I guess the cat's out of the bag now. She certainly has a penchant for stirring the pot doesn't she? Well done gal.

Not sure I would trust Waylon with this information if Miranda wants him to keep it to himself. Kids can't keep a secret and don't realise what trouble it would cause if they spill the beans. As for the predator at school, I hope he is found out and prosecuted. Another fine chapter Gretchen, love Dolly x

I do love Miranda - not afraid of Elaine, and so very direct - I would love to have seen E's reaction. Your characters are so alive, and so believable. I bet Waylon will tell Dougie, which will complicate everything ... but I am glad Waylon has developed a strong affection for Miranda, whichis not based on the money. He sees her genuine care for him. Looking forward to reading more.

This earns the star for Miranda telling her secret to Waylon and knowing how hopeless it is to believe he won't tell his father. He's just a really sweet kid. And I really enjoyed her interview with the principal, who I suspect is beginning to like her, even if she doesn't want to.
