The only foundation for a righteous nation is when people turn to Him in genuine repentance and build their foundations on His living Word. Foundations based on man's pride and arrogance (including wanting to be the greatest nation in the world) will crumble.

How do you explain trump then? The felon, the grabber of womens' body parts? The man who, instead of paying his contactors would cry poor and file for insolvency, eight times. The many married man. Whose wife did not even live with him in the white house. We are now completely ruled by greed. I despair of our jaded population. Karen

We never seem to learn from history. The same mistakes are repeated down the ages. Another fine poem, Roy. I particularly liked the effect of the internal rhyme here: "will sow the seeds of weathered weeds."
