This is a very nicely written chapter and I enjoyed very much listening to it. It flows very well when it is read out loud. I wish you the very best with all of your writing. I also wish for you a very good week and may you have a happy Thanksgiving. Patricia

The intervention sounds very credible and I understand that this is, in fact, based on a real life story. In the beginning I worried hat Marsha might bow to Trenton's pressure but, by the end, I was impressed with her response to him which was balanced and caring. There are some edits below. But another engaging read with suspense as to how this is all going to evolve. Well done Beth. Debbie

I think the first step with an alcoholic is to admit there is a problem as if they don't accept this then there can be no chance of healing. I feel for Marsha as she is the victim here and yet she still wants the marriage to work. I think Trenton needs to show her some respect first, a fine chapter Beth, love Dolly x x x

Very good! The signals don't seem too promising that Trenton will give up alcohol. I'll tell you were that my wife, I would have heard a lot more from her. Marsha needs to adopt strict attitude bout what she will and won't accept in her marriage.

Oh, what people endure to please others. It looks as though the only one fooled here is Trenton. Others see through him, especially Marsha. Good one, Beth.

Thank you, Chuck. Yes Trenton is pretty easy to see what he is like. Marsha wants to see something better but is realizing it isn't happening.

So their marriage seems to go to s place were it's at the end of the road one way, but certainly at the crossroads of another direction, some incredibly difficult decisions have to be made, but your story has come to a valley of decision, beautifully written Beth, blessings Roy

Good for her, don't let her cave.
Nicely written. Error-free as near as I can tell.
I had a friend who 'left' rehab early. He ended up in prison. (twice)
Best wishes.

Thank you, Wayne. You really have to be committed to being in rehab for it to work. Trenton isn't. Marsha is realizing this.

It seems like everybody has been sick lately. I know our son, Jonathon, Greyson have been sick with stomach virus and now Sha has it.

Doesn't sound to me like Trenton has changed at all. He's just trying to follow the dots to get what he wants...out of there. Marsha is right to ask questions before making any decisions. Maybe she's learned something out of this, even if Trenton hasn't. Good chapter.

Obviously Trenton is in a state of denial. Wants to get back to the Law firm as quickly as possible, first thing have a big drink, then another. Now he feels much better, best yet is his prize. The young secretary is wanting and available, her interest probably talking him into leaving his wife and sons, marrying him as soon as possible, change his inheritance arrangements. Offer as much sex as he can handle for the time being. Probably happens more than we think. Men will be men, women will be women.

Thank you, Rick. I think you understand Trenton pretty well. I don't he wants to leave his wife and kids and remarry. He just wants whatever is available on the side as well, but he does see a need to quite drinking. I appreciate the review.
