This is excellent advice woven into a poem. We feel we are invincible when young, then stuff starts not working as well.
In this line:
"we began to act"
I think it would match the rest of your poem better as
"we begin to act"
Kudos to you on crafting what looks to be a difficult format.

So true we don't need to give into our age. We can think young and even act young. That doesn't mean we need to be foolish. But be young at heart. Thank you for sharing this poem and message with us.
