This is a nicely written Tanka poem. The bunny had a greater desire to survive than to be the victim. I wish you the best luck in the contest.

I too have a dog that chases squirrels, crows, deer...whatever comes into our yard. Most get away but occasionally a squirrel will get the full fury. I am glad the bunny got away.

Thank you for your kind review. It zig zags away from Kratos. He can't turn as fast as the rabbit can.

Never written a Tanka, never even heard of one until just now. They look fun and full marks for bravery and luck to the bunny
I presume you rescued it from its hairy position

Thank you for the review. Yes, Ninja bunny got a way. We distracted Kratos long enough for the bunny to get out the fence.
A Tanka is 5-7-5-7-7. I thought it would be hard, but it was rather easy.

Gypsy,
Thank you for the kind review. I bought a book so I could learn more styles and not look dumb.

Your tanka verse nicely fits the brief and tells the story of a neat little escape of this bunny from Kratos. I like the 3rd line "saving his small life " which emphasises its vulnerability in the world of dangerous predators (hopefully Kratos doesn't fit into that category:)) Your notes require a few edits: Fortunat(e)ly He wedge(d). Well done and good luck! Debbie

Debbie,
Thank you for the kind review. Kratos would be that predator if he could catch the bunny. It's too fast and squeezes through the fence to get away. Thank for finding my typos.

These rabbits can run very fast when they are running form danger and I have seen them in action. I once saw a dog chase a rabbit around the park until he found a hole in the ground and crawling in, no doubt shaking like a leaf. I enjoyed your vivid and action packed words here Cecilia, love Dolly x

Thank you for the great review. I appreciate it. Yes, I have seen rabbits zig-zag away from Kratos.

The creatures seems to have a life likened to ours: finding within us living the unknown dangers about us. Facts caused by activities, roaming us doing deeds or our whatever. A nice pleasing thought in my given viewpoint.

What I would say, he was a very clever ninja bunny, escaping from Kronos in that way, such a triumphant long eared galoot, in the wise words of Yosemite Sam, beautifully written dear Cecilia, blessings Roy

Are you stretching yourself? That's a good one--getting out there and trying something new. Poetry's not for me, but grab it and run if you are enjoying it. The bunny is adorable, and I'm happy it outsmarted Kratos.

Carol,
Thank you for the great review. Yes, the bunny so cute he had his little feet on the wall and his back against the tool chest we have out there. The little bunny stayed wedged for about an hour. We distracted Kratos for a little bit until we could get the rabbit to run outside the fence. One day Kratos will get a rabbit and it won't be pretty when he does.
