I enjoyed the personification of the purple lily. A very good haiku, five-seven-five for the contest. I too have an entry in the contest: "Lamentations" may we both do well.

This immediately conjured up images in my mind of spring awakening as I read this piece, I loved the image of the flower waiting to hear the robins song, I thought that was really well thought out. I really enjoyed reading it.

Thank you for stopping by to read and review. I love spring, except for allergies that come with it.

I like your personification of the purple Peruvian lily. Instead of heliotropism, the lily responds to the robin's song. And the lily in the picture seems to be "all ears." Lol. Best wishes in the contest!

Lovely personification by using face as a way to give it more human quality and deeper sense of living. Also liked it turns naturally toward the vitamins and sun etc.. Illustration emotions much like us.

A very lovely photograph of lily used for this short poem.
Short but sweet about the flower waiting for the robins to arrive.
An easy read.
Thanks for sharing.

A glorious visual, Christie, with the purple lily heralding (in hope) the approach of summer and the robin's delightful song. Lovely imagery in the second line and an enjoyable, optimistic theme. Well done and good luck! Debbie

An excellent entry for the 5-7-5 poetry Contest. I really enjoyed this Haiku. The personification of the flower turning its face toward the sound of the robin was so nice. Good luck in the contest.

Hi Chystie,
This is a beautiful photo of a purple lily. I have never seen this color of lily before. I think the blooming of any flower brings hope of Spring as does the robin's song.
Congrats on winning the contest. in the contest.

-Very nice artwork and presentation, Crystie.
-The syllable count is good, along with the topic.
-Effective nature and seasonal imagery.
-Good use of personification and
alliteration in line two.
-A good concluding line showing
how it enjoys the robin's song.
-A good entry; good luck.
