This is wonderful Roy. Beautiful rhyming message to remind or in some case educate that no matter who you are whether rich are poor or whatever circumstances that may be Gold will love and accept us all in his loving arms in heaven when the time comes. Well done.

Only faith in Jesus will get one to Heaven. Through that faith the works will come. I have also heard about people who keep track of their good works thinking it's a numbers game. We must do those good works for the Glory of God, not for our glory. Thank you, again, for sharing this inspired poem.

This is truth and wisdom rolled up in personal conviction.
Two parts stood out for me
"If I can't offer hope my friend to float on favour's flight.
I'd rather stoke dream's bright success that shines on you its light."
We are all too quick, in our cruel hard world to judge and condemn those we see as less than ourselves. Yet Christ taught us the opposite through word and example.
And
"The truth is that God's only seen when desperate lips will ask. "
This is so sad yet so true. How many never speak to Him in the quiet of their hearts yet quickly scream God help me when in desperation.
I looked at that picture, you tell me below the poem that it was you. And I look at your profile, and see God's hand in the comparison.
God's blessings be always with you and yours Roy.

We are reconciled with God through the blood of Christ which was given because of God's love for us. Our faith in Him strengthens our belief. Some took offense to my saying that Hitler might be forgiven. As Christians we must know by now that this is to God. Thanks for sharing.

As I looked at this picture and read your words, I thought of how this homeless man can be the humble beloved servant of God while those who pass him on the street - in their fine clothes with their fat bank accounts - are doomed in the next life. That is justice.

Of course, I loved the entire poem, but I think my favorite is the last stanza. Regardless of our failings, He remains by our side, just watching over us and waiting for us to ask for his forgiveness and to lead us into His light. The Lord blesses every man and woman who will come to him.
