I'm wondering if Trenton even hid the drugs in his daughter's purse, I can imagine him doing that to get himself off the hook. Another excellent chapter, Ulla, I really enjoyed reading it.

I think that must have been Trenton's mistress. I wonder if she's pregnant! I feel so sorry for Marsha. I wonder if Trenton knew this woman was after him, and that was why he had the drink problem, and why he didn't put up a fight about going into therapy. As for Tracie covering for her sister, she needs to get that sorted or she will have that on her record for life. What a lot is going on, I think I'd have been hysterical by now! Well done, my friend. Great chapter, and I'm looking foreward to the next one. :)Sandra xx

I was giving Trenton the benefit of a doubt as far as "the other woman" went, but now I'm wondering. This is a lot for one person, all alone, to handle. I hope she doesn't go to a neighbor or friend with this information, because they will talk to others about it.

Good chapter, Beth.

This was a great chapter but a horrible one for poor Marsha! Not only is her youngest suspended, her other daughter may be doing drugs or involved with kids who are, and now it seems her husband's mistress could be calling. I wonder what the emergency is. I think you really captured how your main character is feeling!

No wonder the end of the last segment left an ominous tone. Tracy (and mom) are going to have to keep Linsey's name out of it. But how to resolve the issue will depend on more information.
It's going to be tough for Marsha and Trenton to patch their marriage.
Best wishes.

Thank you again for the review on his older one. It isn't easy raising four teenagers alone. Trenton was never much help with them. My kids thought I was doing most of parenting but Evan and I always discussed their problems. He played good cop to my bad cop. lol

Not very fair of him to let the kids think you were being mean.
My wife got mad at me when I wouldn't compound punishment after she'd already punished them. But it wasn't like I gave them ice cream, either.

An excellent and well-written story. It has tension and drama and is relatable because all families either have to manage such situations or know someone who has had to. Engrossing story.

Wow
There is much going on in the chapter
Sadly, I haven't kept up with the previous chapters
I thought you were writing a biographical book
Did you finish that?

Thank you, Tom. I'm still writing my biographical book. In fact two of them. I posted a chapter on it Friday. This one is a fictionalized biography of my friend's marriage. The names are the fiction part mainly.

Wow... talk about the weight of the world bearing down on you... and she still has to put on a strong face for her daughter... ugh. Great chapter here, Beth, and a great cliff hanger! ;) Thanx for sharing and looking forward to next! ;) Yvette

I'm not surprised she had a melt-down! This tension was skilfully being built up throughout the chapter and that phone-call would have riled anyone. I wonder if this is Trenton's mistress now. Nicely done, Beth! Take care Debbie
I'll see if (he) wants to talk to you.

When it rains, it pours! She has her hands full now, which can sometimes be too much to handle. She does need someone on her side to help her figure this out. Terrificly done, Beth. No wonder you made it through everything with your kids.
