Wow, a blizzard on Halloween. It's so early for that, even in MN. I hope you can stay warm, and that your power is on by now. It's nice to learn about another musician on FS. You gave us lots of great info. about KatieMae. I wish her a great birthday, and blessings to you also. Carol

    I am awaiting the $100,000. Eye drop that is suppose to help me grow back nerves in my cornea. It is taking forever to get because the doctors have to jump thru hoops to get it approved for me. It is a very big deal to get this stuff, so I await patiently. But I will still need the cornea transplant cause the scarring is so bad. The blind eye is starting to make the ofher one start to feel blind when doing anything farther away than six feet.

    You're welcome. I'm sorry your drops are so expensive and such a hassle to get. After seeing that figure, I certainly can't complain about the cost of my migraine meds. Prayers. Blessings. Carol

    Thanks hon, but I don't have to pay for them. Only less than 3% are approved because it is only for a rare so they make you go thru a lot to get them but the doctor takes care of most the red tape. Insurance always turns it down and then after doctors prove they have tried everything then they appeal the insurance decision and then they approve it for what they are willing to spend and then the big pharmaceutical company picks up the rest and they use you for research. The name of it is Oxervate and is on the list of the most expensive drugs in the nation. So they have to go thru a protocol to get them and they may cost a lot but they eat what the insurance doesn't pay

    Wow, I'm glad to hear you don't have to pay that huge amount. That would be impossible for most people. I asked if our insurance would move my migraine meds to a different tier, but they turned me down. Thankfully, our family doc sometimes has samples he will give me. I hope your drops get negotiated soon, so they can help your eyes.

I love knowing all the interesting information you included in KatieMae's birthday poem. The smooth flow of all the lines made your poem even more joyful to read. I now know she is a fellow musician. You piano photo is exquisite.

I adore this writer and I was unaware she is a musician. Your birthday poem told me so much about her. She is quite the talented lady and I hope her birthday is special and grand. Hope the blizzard you are in passes.

Hi Debi,
This poem rhymes well and tells Katie's story well. She is so multi-talented. It is interested by named after a Grateful Dead song.
I don't think you need the and third line of the penultimate stanza. It should be Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with no 'and'.
Keep writing and stay healthy.

    Yes, Joan I know what you are saying, but when you write in meter, you do whatever you have to make the line come through properly. I tried it numerous ways and that was the best that I could find. Do you know what I mean? Thanks for your help tho, normally I would agree but it really would screw everyone up if I left it out would have been two few syllables or put it in another place. Thanks again, Debi

    How about You're home Cleveland Ohio has Rock N Roll Hall of of Fame. I know this is the same amount of syllables but maybe not the same meter.

Wow you are brave, and it's quite cold now, but probably not as cold as it will get shortly I guess, yes, that's the trouble with devices.
