Since I doubt that I am a perfect person, I try not to second guess anyone's thoughts or to point fingers. Politics is a dirty business and I prefer not to trudge through the muck. I had hoped Hillary would have one, but it didn't happen. Why she feels as she does is her business, not mine, but we are all entitled to our opinions.

The hatred in the people in the US has shocked me to the core and your post is revealing here. I have no idea why people hate Trump so much, it has been a campaign to bring this man down for months. Trump has shown himself to be strong in the face of adversity, don't we want a US leader with this kind of strength of mind? His children are a testament to his parenting, so he cannot be that bad. I really enjoyed your post, it is honest and I wish I had a six left for you, love Dolly x x x

I can't help thinking, though, that you'd add so much to the essay if you gave your opinion. Rather than just posing the question, answer it - as you see it.
As you say, you find what you seek and if you wish to find hate (or love) you will, but perhaps you have some idea of where or when you think things changed.
Of course, in this modern age of mass-media, I am uncertain if we could ever 'know' a person beyond the sound bites and snatches we are fed - by your own note, your most positive impression was taken from a single event; your example of the most negative impression from another. Maybe five to ten minutes in total from a life of many, many years.
Still, your piece is good, if short. As I say, I think you could expand upon the point and make the work more provocative (in a positive way) by putting something of your own thoughts on the matter into it.
I wish you well with your continued writing.

Hi Phill,
You make a good point about a few events shaping my opinion. The positive event began my belief in her as a good Samaritan and mother. Watching her through the years built upon that image. As her demeanor became more negative, it took a while for the change to take hold in my mind.
