Wow. What a cliffhanger! Yes. You will enter a real and true story for the "true Story" competition by December 15th. I was almost offended for not being invited to this big party and then after reading the second one, I realized that it was a fantasy party. I guess I can write one, too.
Well done.

Hello, Jasmine!
I had two fears when I attempted this challenge:
1. Failing to be humorous
2. Offending someone/leaving someone out.
I took my cues from Rachelle's chapter and invitation regarding the folks she mentioned therein. But you are correct = just a fantasy party, and YES! Please do write a version as well! Great fun!
Much appreciation!

Hi Diane.
I've read Wendy's, Jim's and now yours. Obviously each so different but all have one communality... hilarious! Extremely!
A little Alka-Seltzer to help cure that pesky hangover from all the partying...
Good luck in the choosing...

Good morning, John!
What a challenge!
I enjoyed every moment of writing this piece - even if my pen led the way! I truly am a "one and done" kind of gal. But my pen thought otherwise! :)
So pleased you enjoyed!
Much appreciation!

Hello Diane,
this whole journey with the girls has been such fun. I'm glad you chimed in too gal. I'm always impressed with the vast array of talent on this site. Its because of you that I started reading poetry. I still don't understand a lot of it, and frankly, I'm more of a story person. I guess in my immaturity, I still like a good story. However, there are a few of you talented poets that I always look forward to reading. Thanks for joining the party and letting us know how things looked from your end of the champagne glass.
Have a blessed evening gal.

Good morning, Tom!
Goodness!
What a hoot it was to pen this piece! I love the camaraderie among all the participants. I'm just sorry I missed the food fight! :)

I'm sorry I did not get invited to the convention; it sounds like it was a hoot. But then again, I (and Vicki) am late commers. A really neat mind trip convention .

Hello, Don... and Vicki!
Well, what the heck!
Both of you should certainly have been invited!
I bet it was that darn AI that seems to be corrupting so many things these days!
Glad you enjoyed.
Such a fun enterprise to attempt! Loved the challenge!
Much appreciation!

This is very well and I very much enjoyed listening to it. I was thinking about writing something, but I'm just not in the mood to try to write something now it seems like my muse is kind of gone to sleep for a while and I don't know how to get it back. But I haven't been enjoying the stories that people are coming up with for the party.

Hello, Patricia!
So pleased you enjoyed!
And such a fun challenge to attempt.
Have you read any of the other versions? All are exceptionally well-written, clever, and humorous! What a group of talented folks.
Those darn muses can sometimes be stinkers! When my muse goes to sleep, I go for a long walk... or eat chocolate. Both seem to work! :)
Thank you again!
fondly,
diane

Diane, this is absolutely hilarious. You kept it up all the way through and painted a glorious picture of the event and your not so stylish entrance and general conduct:)) It all seemed to go hopelessly wrong for you and I'm amazed you remember as much as you do. It might be better to forget although I'm sure many of your friends there will have captured those special moments for you in their respective mobile cameras!
There are a couple of hiccoughs (hardly surprising): (a)uthor of Sin and Sea; At each floor more and more Fanstorians entered the elevator (including until?)
What a tonic you are! Thanks for sharing and a virtual six from me. Take care Debbie

Hello, Debbie!
I must still be "soused!"
No one caught those "hiccups," and I most definitely am appreciative! Goodness! That's what happens when I edit and re-edit and have a cantankerous computer to boot! :)
Have you read the other versions?
Simply outstanding in terms of creativity and humor! What a talented bunch of convention-goers!
I never imagined that I would characterize myself as being "two sheets to the wind," but that's where my pen went, and I tagged along! Too funny!
Thank you again, Debbie!
So pleased you enjoyed!

I've read Wendy's, Jim's and Dolly's and enjoyed every one. Love the way your pen was in charge. It did a great job although you'd better keep an eye on it in future if it continues to besmirch your clean-living reputation:))

Hah!
Such a rabble-rouser am I!

I enjoyed your version of what took place at the pre-convention, red carpet gathering. (I believe it took place in Atlantic City, NJ) I was there and was the second one off the elevator. I remember your entrance and knew you were going to be the life of the party. I think it was quite creative to include poetry in your version of the event. Great, imaginative story.

Hello, Lorraine!
Yes! Helen reminded me about a half hour ago that I wasn't drinking champagne in New York, I was becoming inebriated in New Jersey!
So much fun to attempt this "invitation!" (And just between you and me, I've never been "soused" in my life!)
Have you read the other versions?
All are outstanding!
And yes, you were radiant in your party attire! :)
Wouldn't it be a hoot if someday there really was a FS convention?
I remember discussion of such an event years ago...
So pleased you enjoyed!

Lol. Here you made me laugh so hard. Totally drunk! Yet you came to my aid re shoving Jane into that service lift! And now you've forgotten .... You were so kind, drinking all champagne offered so no one would feel upset! A great chapter to include!

Hah! Wendy!
I've never been "soused" in my life!
But that's what my pen wrote, and I went with it!
What a truly hilarious experience to attempt to offer a semblance of creativity in this wild escapade.
And I so enjoyed your version.
I've read all of the versions = quite an assortment of humor, creativity, talent, and just plain fun!
Thank you ever so much!

No, me neither. I am a one glass girl.
I never wanted to lose control or not know what I had said or done!

How fun! I'm glad you took up Rachelle's invitation. I'm honored to be among those offering ministrations but anything I'd offer would be non-alcoholic! Wasn't this convention in New Jersey?

Hello, Helen!
New Jersey it is! Thank you for that catch!
And you were offering me chocolates and consoling words.
I truly enjoyed this little escapade!
I've read all of the versions thus far, while waiting to hear if I had jury duty this week, and I certainly was entertained. Quite an assortment of talent and vivid imaginations.
Thank you for stopping by!
Much appreciation,

I enjoyed your version of you trip to convention. Too bad you got dumped in the floor. So you were out of it before the food fight even started? It's probably better you missed that part.
