out of six or you would have it. This a good story so typical for this generation. I can remember the wife getting these kind of phone calls in the same manner. Kids can be more than a handful sometimes.

Thank you, Chuck. You've been generous with you sixes, but you don't need to give me all of them. This one is following a true story almost too closely. I'm glad is isn't my story.

Hmmm. Evilness brews. What has Trenton been doing with his money? And what trouble has Tracy gotten into? How will Marsha cope?
Very nice cliff hanger.
Best wishes.

Marsha, left at home on her own without any sounding-board, is now wracked with guilt and confusion. Her world appears to be caving in and now trouble with Tracy. Your chapter continues to entertain; your dialogue is also excellent and credible. Well done, Beth! Take care Debbie

If he (had) been keeping out all that money..
Has he been planning to leave (me) for some bimbo..

Having a child act up, a husband lie about the money, and being on your own is a lot to grasp all at once. She's going to have to face it and find help somewhere--if it's only to talk. Great job, Beth.
Smiles, Carol

You have certainly given your character a gob of problems to get through. You might see if you can get power of attorney for legal matters while he is in there. Then, get direct deposit for his checks. Get a detective to see if you can find out where the money went. Good writing. Karen

Thank you, Karen. I'm sure there are a lot things she should be doing if she is able to think clearly. I appreciate the review and comments.

Poor Marsha! What a mess with one shock after another. Hopefully, she will get good counseling. It's terrible that she worries that her mother would blame her!

I hope I don't write myself into a corner. So far, this is very close to a true story. People want happy endings, and life isn't always like that. I seem to want to stick too closely to the truth. I almost wish I hadn't started this one.
