Well, Bay Lynn managed to get him even though she couldn't get through the bulletproof vest. I wonder if Carey will see the claw marks and realise the beast couldn't rip through it. If May tells him she managed to shoot it and that it screamed, he might think it couldn't possibly have been Dodie Rae when he sees she's not injured. Excellent chapter, my friend. :) Sandra
