When a child becomes a teenager, that's when they are the most difficult. They believe they are grown-up, but they aren't. I hope Marsha doesn't have any more problems. What is in the envelope? Has Trenton been having more money than he's been saying? That could be how he's been buying his lover expensive jewellery. I must stop making guesses. LOL1 Well done, my friend. Sandra xxx

You definitely know how to end your chapters on a cliffhanger, Beth. Now I can't wait to read the next one. I could definitely feel how difficult this was for Marsha to explain to her children, they're definitely going to be experiencing a lot of different emotions following this news. A well written chapter, I enjoyed reading it.

I think it's natural for children to react differently, at the time I stopped drinking my kids were 4 and six months, and it was never an issue, but I know my grandkids don need to suffer the problem with their dads, my mum and split when we were older anyway, so everyone was OK, you've made me think, but yes there was the other problem of unfaithfulness, well done, Beth, blessings Roy

Well done.
You presented the kids well.
The shock - the firm is deducting the cost of the treatment center? Or something like that? Nice hanger.
Best wishes.

This story deals with an important issue: alcoholism. It is more prevalent than we know. BUT then you had to go and throw another spanner in the works: cheating. Now I will just have to wait for the next chapter.

Great cliff-hanger you left us with this time. I wonder what the surprise in the check is and I do hope it's a good one. Your story feels very accurate and it's heartbreaking to know it happens to families all of the time. Good job

I have to hand it to you .When you write a continuing story like this, you do it with characters whose action and speech speak of dignity. Were this on cable or satellite or in the movie rea;m, there would be one big mishmash of blue words and f -bombs. It doesn't take much to be creative instead of nasty.

You left a wonderful hook. I can't wait to see what the was in the check. Thank you for sharing this post with us. I really like it.

"What did Dad say when he came in to that place, and everyone was there telling him he had to go away? I'll bet he was furious, Joey said. (missing ending quotation marks, 'furious,')

She had avoided her friend Barbara lately, (friend,)
