Not only prolific, but also innovative. This is too clever. I've not seen this before. Does it have a name? A role reversal perhaps. Brilliant is not a word I use often, but it applies here. Then you add your Scripture notes and the poems takes on further significance. Once day Roy, I'd love to sit down with you and have a heart to heart. We agree on so many issues. I truly value your writings.

I like the feel of this poem, Roy. The gift of love, unconditional love is profound. I enjoyed this verse: "for love to last it must be pure." How can anyone reject His gift?

Reminds me if the saying.... How much do I love you? Let me count the ways!
Love amounts and counts a lot if it's true, as is noted in your poem and the scriptures you attached.
Thanks for sharing your message with us.

This swap quatrain is well written. I like the way the first line of each stanza is switched, and your rhymes are good also. Only God would spend so much to demonstrate His love for us! Thanks for sharing. Much food for thought here. Blessings. Carol

"How much to spend to purchase love" is a powerful question Roy. The kind of love Jesus has for us, I can't begin to comprehend but I am eternally grateful.
Well done Roy.

Happy Birthday, Roy, I hope your day has been special.
Your Swap Quatrain is beautifully written and with a wonderful message. To love is to give with all your heart, not to expect a payment for it, but to be give it freely, and honestly. Nothing can top that, as Jesus proved to us that day he died on the cross. What better gift can anyone give. Well done, dear friend. Love you lots, Sandra xxx

Jesus gave all because of His love for us. By doing so he bought our salvation. All He asked for in return is our faith and love in Him. That's really not a lot, but many people believe it is. Thank you for sharing this God inspired poem with us.

There are some people we love who we'd do anything for. Right or wrong. But others will not warrant the same considerations. Beautifully written. Gretchen

When you tell someone the greatest gift in this life is free, you will get a disbelieving look. When Paul spoke in 1 Cor 13, he spoke of gifts, and in v. 13 he made it clear "the greatest of these is love." Nicely written.
