You can almost hear the stars twinkling, can't you?" Another great line. I enjoyed reading this one because my dog was named Sadie. I enjoyed the story too. It shows you have a variety of stories to tell also. Keep up the great work Carol!

I loved the ending of this piece and how warm you made it feel with just two simple words, "I'm here," that was very powerful, reminding us that those we love never really leave us. Another excellent piece of writing, I really enjoyed it.

I have to think...especially in my darkest moments...that he would never leave me and that he is always here. It's the warmest, most comforting thought I can imagine.

A very moving story about the loneliness and grief, and the desperate need for his company when one has lost a loved one. Beautifully written and very moving, hearing those little anecdotes of their cherished life together. Thank you for sharing.

It was a good moment for me too! Every now and then I like to take a stroll down those pathways and bring them to life with my stories. Thank you so much, Wendy.

This is a beautiful love story told poignantly through Sadie's dialogue beneath the stars. You put the reader right there with her, hearing and seeing what she did, and feeling what she did.
Beautifully done!

Thanks, Julie.
Every now and then I like to take a stroll down those paths and bring moments back to life in my stories. It's a warm, fuzzy kind of thing... like a soft robe, a glass of wine, and a roaring fire.

Darn, if you can't make me cry at the drop of a hat. You are a glorious writer, and if anyone says different , tell me who they are, and I'll go sit on them, that will take the starch out of them. You missed giving kudos for the wonderful picture. Outstanding writing! (sniffle, sniffle) Karen

I am in your fan section front row missy. I have been going through some of my older writing. and I was really killing my soon to be ex over and over. I seemed to have calmed down a lot since that. Oh, I still wish he would drop dead, but perhaps he could do it in another state. :-)

As long as you "murder" someone on paper and not reality, you my dear can do it as many times as you like because you're so skilled at it and it makes me laugh. Your humor is brilliant!

Yes, but I can really feel the anger when I read it. The older stuff has no humor. I think that was the damaged me screaming to get out. I was before Fan story and you guys.

Then I am thrilled that you found us!

I am glad I found you too. :-)

If you want crazy, Read one of my first stories.
"I Really Don't Belong Here"
At almost 9,000 words, people weren't rushing to read it. Make a sack lunch. Karen
-
9000 Words... Girl - you started a book! LOL
-
Well, that was before I knew that folks here wanted their reading in bite size portions. I was new. I read very fast, so I didn't even think about the length. How do I even turn this into eleven chapters of a new book? Karen

What a bitter sweet, beautifully written story Carol, writing them like only you can, you must be the most sentimental of all writers, you manage to cloak your sadness in this wonderful imagination that God has given to recommence your own personal loss, beautifully written my friend, blessings Roy

Wow! What a nice thing to say. I truly believe with all my heart that God blessed me with the crativity to write so that it would be my lifelong beacon of light to get me through the tough times. Thank you so much, Roy.

I did enjoy it. You've made the point in your other work that those who die stay with us in thoughts and memories, and this piece is a lovely reinforcement of that idea!

Thank you so much, Cindy. I don't know why I have been so emotional of late, but the stories bring the best of me and my memories out so that's comforting. How awesome of you to enjoy and award the stars. So appreciated!

Sometimes we get caught up in conversations more so than lengthy narratives, and details about the surrounds and the maybes. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Hi there! Are your traveling days done now or do you have to hit the road some more? It's been so nice to see your smiling face every day. Though it has been a little grumpy now and then. Hope you are doing okay.... Smiles and hugs, Carol
-
Yes, my dear, I've got a little break from all my travels. But if I can pull the deal off, it might get more hectic than ever. LOL. I'm supposed to sit back and just enjoy life at my age, but I don't do that so well. I hope all is well in your world!

Oh it sounds like we have a major adventure in the works! I Wish you well if that's what you want...Go for it and I promise to be your biggest cheerleader... and I don't mean wight wise! LOL
